Tried this today. This is the videogame equivalent of scrolling tiktok. It's optimized to be especially addictive if you're a mulatto zoomer. It really is making me consider just never playing videogames again, disgusting.

this game is total sloppa. thematically i dont know what the fuck is going on i just installed multiplayer. theres robots and zombies and shit and woods from BO is in it. this feels like a netflix TV show in a bad way but it plays like a Good Video Game

Tbh one thing I like about cod that, no matter how much slop it is, it's somewhat of a platonic ideal for how an arcade shooter should feel. If you peel back all of the cosmetic and mediocre bullshit that's mostly surface level, the actual feel of the game is very hard to match up to. There's a crispiness to the shooting and most people complaining about cod generally are nitpicking and trying to recapture the spirit of 2007, which is not going to come back and was there mainly due to social and technical circumstances, such as headsets packaged with xboxes and cell phones not yet ruining society. The MW2019 projectile shooting mechanics are better than the classic hitscan shit. If gaming goes through any kind of minor rennaissance and standards improve, cod will be releasing one of their best in the next decade or so.
